Funny Things

The other day we had this conversation and I thought it was cute:

Timmy: Mom, can a police man arrest a kid?
Mom: Yes, if you are doing bad things and breaking the law.
Timmy: I just can't get arrested because I would miss school and someone would have to take over my job in class...I'm the sweeper and that's very important.
Mom: (laughs and thinks...I'm glad that missing school is his biggest worry)

Another one I had with Maura:

Maura: Mom you're my best friend
Mom: You're my best friend too.
Maura: You're my best girl because you don't yell at me.
(No long after...Maura doesn't listen to something mom tells her to do and she gets in trouble and mom raises her voice)
Maura: Mom, I thought you were my best friend...you're not anymore.
Mom: You're still my best friend Maura even though you get in trouble sometimes

More Fall Pics

I definitely could use some photography lessons from my older brother, but I just wanted to share some more fall pics. The leaves are even better this week.

Someone loves his Daddy!

Topher loves his Daddy! Last night he was so cute. T.J. had him sitting on the table and Topher kept grabbing his face and giving him big kisses. It was so sweet...

I also had to add these cute pictures of my Toph. He's such a funny little buddy!

The Great Pumpkin Farm

For our ward's play date this week we went the The Great Pumpkin Farm. They had pumpkins there that weighed over 1000 pounds! Maura liked the tiny gourds the best though. They also had a petting zoo. Maura got to feed goats, a donkey, and a little pony. She liked teasing the turkey which started to chase her (good thing he was a cage). Every time she would move it would run around the cage to wherever she was. Then her and her friend Miles got to play on the little train and put their faces in the holes so we could take funny pictures. It was a good day.

Fall is definately here!

This is for all my peeps in the desert. I've come to really appreciate the change of the season here. The weather has definitely gotten colder. The other day, the high was in the low 50's. It is a welcome change from living in the valley for the last 4 years. I couldn't believe how beautiful all of the green trees were when we got here, but now the season has changed and the leaves on the trees are beginning to change too. It is so gorgeous! I know the colors will continue to change, but I just love all of the yellows and reds. My pictures don't do it justice, but I wanted to let those of you who won't make it out to see us at this time of year to see it. (I just realized how blury these pictures are, so when the leaves change even more....I'll post again....I blame it on holding a baby and taking a picture one handed.)

8 months!

Topher is 8 months old! It makes me sad that my baby is getting so big. He's 20 lbs., has 3 teeth and three more almost here, he crawls (backwards), and is getting more and more dark hair. He is so much fun to have around and we love him so much!

Little Miss Maura

While Timmy has been in school this last month Maura has been having fun being the oldest at home. She likes having more of Mommy's attention and has been a really big help too. She loves to help me clean the house, do the laundry, throw diapers away, put groceries up, cook with mom, and babysit Topher. We've also started to go to Toddler Time and the library. They sing and dance and do a craft. She absolutely loves it! We've been going to the park a lot too. We went with Camille and Miles the other day (which was full of adventure...huh Camille). The kids liked the big turtle and he dinosaur.

This last weekend we went to a little farm with pumpkins and a corn maze. The kids had fun on the little activities there like riding the power wheels and running through the corn maze. Timmy even got to shoot a corn cob gun. It was really loud. Afterwards we ran a lot of errands and then I left to go to the General Relief Society meeting. T.J. let the kids stay up as late as they wanted and they eventually fell asleep on the couch. When T.J. was taking Timmy to bed, he woke up and told T.J. to put him down. When T.J. put him down, he walked over to the stairs and went right back to sleep. He didn't believe me when I told him that he was sleeping on the stairs until I showed him the picture!
