Lucky Me

I am one of those people who never catches a sale. I am always hearing about all of the good deals my friends or family get and I always miss out on them. But yesterday, one of my new friends Gantrie (I hope I spelled that right) told me about this sale at Old Navy so I went to check it out. The deals were awesome! Everything that was clearanced was 50% off. I was so excited...I was able to get most of the kids school shirts for next year and some extra stuff too. The most I paid for a shirt was $2.49 (with the exception of a dress shirt for Timmy). The rest were only $1.50. I got 17 shirts, 1 pair of pants, 3 pairs of shoes, 1 winter coat, and one sweater for $75.00! I saved $61.00.

Nice hair!

Topher has really been into his food lately and he especially loves the cereal bars with the fruit in the middle. The other day I just let him have one and go at it. When I came back to get him down, this is what his hair looked like. He had been pulling his hair while he ate and his hair was so sticky and standing straight up. We had a good laugh about it. Needless to say, he had to go right to the tub.

Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam

Maura is big enough to go to Sunbeams now! Her first Sunday was last week because we were in Arizona the 1st Sunday in January. Her cousin Jada was there with her last week so she had no problem going, but yesterday was a different story. She had no intention of sitting with her teacher or going to her class. She really misses snacks and toys. It probably didn't help that I was in primary subbing for Timmy class either. We'll try again next week...Dad will probably have to drop her off. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

"Bless You"

Last night T.J. was putting Maura to bed and he sneezed on her. She replied (very upset), "Mom...Daddy Bless You'ed on me...and its stinks!!!!" T.J. and I just about died laughing....she says the funniest things sometimes.

Visitors From Home

Drew (T.J.'s brother), Cassie (my sister), and their kids Jada and Ranan came here to see us last week. It was so fun to have them stay with us. I know it was really cold for them but they handled it very well. The kids ran and played and had fun and we visited and chased after babies. It was so great to have them around and hope they'll visit again soon. We love the (other)Rubalcavas!

The kids all dressed up to go outside and play in the snow and sled down the hill.

Jada and Maura taking a break from bouncing away at Bounce Magic.

We actually made a trip to Niagara Falls....it was beautiful, but sooooo COLD!

After freezing to death at the falls, we took a little time to warm up and have some hot chocolate.....mmmm....it did the trick!

11 months

My little Topher is already a month older! He has started standing all by himself and walking along the furniture. He's still to chicken to try to walk on his own yet. He has gotten quite the appetite. He eats his breakfast when he gets up, another one when the kids get up, and one more when Dad gets up. He LOVES his food. He also likes to help mom load and unload the dishwasher. He's getting to the point where he will play with the older kids now and he follows them everywhere. When they shut the bathroom door to have some privacy, he loses it! We've been calling him our little snake too because he sticks his tongue out of his mouth so fast. It's pretty funny. He's such a fun little guy. We love him.

Great Grandpa Webb

I caught some cute pictures with the kids and their Great Grandma and Grandpa Webb. For journaling reasons I wanted to get these in because they won't be around forever. We love them tons!

Merry (late) Christams!

We had quite the crazy Christmas and I know that I'm a little late in blogging about it, but better late than never....right?
Well, our original plan was to stay here and have our own little Christmas in Buffalo, but to all of our surprise (yeah right), T.J. changed his mind and decided to go back to AZ at the last minute. So, we called in a favor to Santa and had Christmas here a little early. It was fun to have our little Christmas together which was peaceful and nice. While the kids were opening their toys, TJ was trying to open a tough one with his leatherman. All of a sudden I hear Timmy say "Mom, Daddy cut himself!" I looked over at T.J. and he had this stunned look on his face. I went to see what was going on, the cut was pretty darn deep so we loaded up into the truck, dropped the kids off at the Muglestons (thanks guys) and headed to the ER. I had to giggle to myself on the way there because we were in the ER on Easter too because of TJ. I was just hoping he wasn't going to make a habit out of holiday ER visits. He turned out to be fine and they glued him up. (Sorry no pics of the stab wound!)

The next morning we awoke to a huge snow storm, we got stuck in our driveway, in our truck, in 4-wheel drive, but we made it to the airport. We were very luck to make it out because we were the last flight out of Buffalo airport. The kids were wonderful on the plane, so it was a good trip. We spent the night in Globe and then made our way to Snowflake. All of my brothers and sisters were so thoughtful and bought small little gifts for my kids to open on Christmas morning because all of their gifts were in Buffalo. It meant a lot to us and them. We had a good Christmas and and headed to Globe to spend it with T.J.'s mom and dad.

T.J.'s mom and dad also got our kids a stocking full of goodies, which was really exciting for them. We ate tamales and menudo, and visited, played games and ate more etc. We had such a good time, but we had to leave on the 30th. Cassie took us to the airport the next day and we made it home. It was quite the shock to go from 70 degree weather to 14 degrees, but we were so excited to be home. What an adventure!
